Steps in Redesigning a Website (Part 1)

How Can You Redesign Your Website? Follow these Steps

Every company should go through a rebranding process once every 3-5 years. For some, that might include redesigning the company website. We have decided to refresh our site and wanted to take you along for the ride.

The first step was a brainstorming session to decide:

  1. What information is most important
  2. How to organize the sites pages
  3. What styles, features, and new technologies the site would use
  4. What content would be on each page.

The brainstorming method is the best way to not only tap into the creative strengths of all your employees, but it may also help you get a better understanding of your company when looking through the lenses of your employees. There may be parts of your site that are no longer needed or new features that need to be added. Perhaps there are problems with the site or the company that would have never been realized without the different views of people in different areas of the company with different talents coming together. Deciding what information is important is crucial in the design. Having only the most important and appropriate information on the homepage is priority number one. This is what we do best. Help our clients create and maintain a website that serves the goals of the company.

If you have a website that has not been looked over with a fine toothed comb lately give us a call! We would love to help you get your site working for you instead of you working on it.
